Meeting Place: 2024-03-16 at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Location: École de la Forêt How to find us: Meet at the parking lot The distance is approximately 4.5 km primarily on flat land, not including the distance to and from the parking lot to the park. The walking route in the link below. Open it within the rungo app. It will give you turn by turn instructions. Walking route: routes.rungoapp.com/route/skyHWL2GJs(!) New rule in effect. I will be checking registrants name and profile photo to ensure they can be traced. A proper profile includes a recognizable first name and a clearly identifiable photo (without the need of magnification). Notes: 1. No pets for this walk. 2. Facility not available at trailhead. 3. If photos of others are taken make sure that you acquired their permissions before posting them on this page. 4. Trip Reports: AU-DELÀ DU PAYSAGE - audeladupaysage.com/en/2023/02/18/boucher-forest-en/Park People - parkpeople.ca/blog/la-plus-belle-foret-du-monde-la-foret-boucher-gatineau5. Difficulty - Level 1.5 (between L1 and L2 because of the wetlands), probably more difficult with snow. 6. GPS location: 45.415489, -75.845698 7. Description: The Boucher forest is the last large wild space in the Aylmer sector. Despite being an urban forest, its large area (700+ acres) and its proximity to Gatineau Park (3.5 km to the North) have allowed it to remain an important refuge for biodiversity. During the 23Bio-Blitz events, organized by the Foundation in June 2010, May 2011 and June 2018, scientists and citizens inventoried over 1145 animal and plant species.
