Meeting Place: 2024-03-10 at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Location: Fallingbrook Community Elementary School
How to find us: At the parking lot in front of the skating rink
The distance is approximately 5 km on a mix of flat land and up and down trail. I have listed the walking route in the link below. Open it within the rungo app. It will give you turn by turn instructions.

(!) New rule in effect. I will be checking registrants name and profile photo to ensure they can be traced. A proper profile includes a recognizable first name and a clearly identifiable photo (without the need of magnification).
Notes:
1. No pets for this walk.
2. Facility not available at trailhead.
3. If photos of others are taken make sure that you acquired their permissions before posting them on this page.
4. Trip Reports:

Au-Dela Du Paysage - audeladupaysage.com/en/2019/04/22/princess-louise-falls-the-well-kept-secret-of-orleans/
5. Difficulty - Level 2, plus specific weather conditions.
6. GPS location: 45.481069, -75.488123
7. Description:
Princess Louise Falls is part of Taylor Creek and flows along the escarpment south of St. Joseph Boulevard in Orleans. As it is a few meters high and flows over several levels of sedimentary rocks, it is rather impressive and looks more like the type of waterfall that you could see along the Niagara Escarpment rather than in the suburbs of Ottawa. The waterfall is named after Princess Louise, daughter of Queen Victoria and wife of John Campbell, Canada’s fourth Governor General. Local legend has it that Princess Louise occasionally visited the area to sketch the fall, but as such sketches have never been found among those she left, it is difficult to know if there is some truth behind this story.
