How to find us: Meet at the P7 parking lot
Now that we have snow on the ground, I'm looking forward to introduce you to this trail. It is great for both hiking and snowshoeing. This hike will replace the hike at Shirley's Bay.

(!) New rule in effect. I will be checking registrants name and profile photo to ensure they can be traced. A proper profile includes a recognizable first name and a clearly identifiable photo (without the need of magnification).
Please arrive a few minutes early. Meet and greet time is between 12:30 pm to 1 pm. We will leave the parking lot promptly after.
Note:
1. Facilities is available (if not, go to Mana Centre which is up the road).
2. Trekking pole(s), even with one, is recommended. It relieves the stress of walking on packed snow/ ice.
3. If pictures are to be posted on this site please make sure participants agree to have their photos taken.

Taking 417 East, exit on 88. Then turn left on St Guillaume/Rockdale Rd. Turn right at the Esso Station (Russland Rd). Continue to drive until the end where you turn left on Limoges Rd. Turn left on Indian Creek Road and then to Larose Forest P7).

8. Description
Larose Forest is located approximately 50 kilometres east of Ottawa, just south of the village of Bourget and covers over 11,000 hectares. More than 18 million trees have been planted making it the second largest community forest in Ontario.
The Forest shelters a wide variety of wildlife from the small chickadee to the majestic moose. It also contains a beautiful variety of wild flowers and mushrooms, scattered throughout the area. There are numerous excellent places to relax and have a good time.
By visiting the Forest, you will have the opportunity to enjoy numerous popular outdoor activities year-round, ranging from hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing and much more.
