Location: Chocomotive
How to find us: At the parking lot in front of Chocomotive
Mar 27 update:
1. To participate in this walk you must be willing to participate in the Papineau Museum tour. The admission fee on the website is $8.50/day. The Plaisance Waterfall hike is optional. The admission fee there is $8.
2. This hike requires a confirmation one week prior to the event. You must be able to either drive there yourself or have a ride agreement with someone prior to confirmation. Individuals who signed up but did not confirm at the one-week-prior deadline will be transferred to "Not going".
Confirmation is done by the following:
1. Click on this link: www.meetup.com/Ottawa-Hike-To-Heal/messages/boards/forum/38641490
2. Click on "Add a reply"
3. Type your name (and your guest's name), and state that you are confirming.
(!) New rule in effect. I will be checking registrants name and profile photo to ensure they can be traced. A proper profile includes a recognizable first name and a clearly identifiable photo (without the need of magnification).
As mask wearing has become optional even at indoors, I will not enforce the policy of having to bring a mask and social distancing. I will also not require vaccination to be a per-requisite. Having said that, I will ask the group to honor each individual's choice to wear a mask and/or maintain social distancing during this walk.
We will be visiting the museum and have a walk around the neighbouring land, then visiting Chute de Plaissance (100 Rang Malo, Plaisance, QC J0V 1S0) afterwards.
Notes:
1. No pets for this walk.
2. Facilities are available at the meeting place but not on the trail.
3. If photos of others are taken make sure that you acquired their permissions before posting them on this page.
