IMPORTANT UPDATE (2023/03/10): I called Wheeler's today and made a reservation . As you know, March and April are their busy months. Because the number of participants that may change as we get closer to the date, I made an agreement with them so they can accommodate us while we are not affecting their business too much. We are still discussing the final reservation numbers, but we agreed on a reservation for 35 seats at 2 pm. With this arrangement I will change the time of our hike to 12:30 pm.
(!) New rule in effect. I will be checking registrants name and profile photo to ensure they can be traced. A proper profile includes a recognizable first name and a clearly identifiable photo (without the need of magnification).
Important to know:
1. This is a 65 min drive from Ottawa on backroads. Plan your trip ahead accordingly. This is a good trip to arrange amongst yourselves for carpools.
2. RSVP at least three days prior to the event to allow me to reserve a table in advance. We will walk first before the pancake breakfast.
Starting time is confirmed at 12:30 pm
The total distance covered is less than 6 km.
As mask wearing has become optional even at indoors, I will not enforce the policy of having to bring a mask and social distancing. I will also not require vaccination to be a per-requisite. Having said that, I will ask the group to honor each individual's choice to wear a mask and/or maintain social distancing during this walk.
Let's get outside to enjoy some fresh air and say hello to some trees! This place is as close to country life as most city slickers can get without knowing someone that actually lives in the country.
We will begin with an introduction and welcome exercise, and then we will relax and enjoy our time in nature.
Notes:
1. No pets for this walk.
2. Facility is available at the restaurant.
3. If photos of others are taken make sure that you acquired their permissions before posting them on this page.
