Meeting Place: 2023-02-25 at 11:30 am - 01:00 pm
Location: P7 - Larose Forest
How to find us: Meet at the flags where Trail 10 begins (south side)
I expand the snowshoe hike to see if we can form another group for just winter walking.
It looks like Google/Waze has fixed the route to the Larose Forest so it will lead you to the correct one (which is taking 417 East, exiting on 88, turn left on St Guillaume/Rockdale Rd. Then turn right at the Esso Station (Russland Rd). Continue to drive until the end where you turn left on Limoges Rd. Turn left on Indian Creek Road and then to Larose Forest P7).
(!) New rule in effect. I will be checking registrants name and profile photo to ensure they can be traced. A proper profile includes a recognizable first name and a clearly identifiable photo (without the need of magnification).
The approximate distance is 2 km on flat land.
11:30AM is START time not ARRIVAL time. Please arrive a few minutes early. If you are a few minutes late please post early. I will check my phone (sometimes the battery isn't operational due to low temperature) on the day.
GPS Coordinates
45.3738026,-75.2400313
Note:
1. No pets for this walk.
2. Facilities is available at the trail head and also down the road at the Mana Center.
3. Trekking pole(s), even with one, is recommended. It relieves the stress of walking on packed snow/ ice.
4. If pictures are to be posted on this site please make sure participants agree to have their photos taken.
