Calabogie Fall Ski lift FAQ

This is a 9 to 11 km walk, traversing steep terrain and rocky areas.

Important to know:
1. This is an 1 hr drive from Ottawa on backroads. Plan your trip ahead accordingly.
2. This is a challenging hike. One has to traverse through rocks and go up on a ski hill. Passing through the trail requires good cardio and steady footing. Hiking poles are highly recommended.
3. The ski lifts runs from 10 AM to 3 PM. A day pass is required to use the ski lift ($20).
We will begin at the ski resort. hiking up the Bear Claw Trail and Lost Valley Loop to the Manitou Mountain trail, and through it to the Eagle's Nest Lookout, then hiking back to the Skywalk loop. At the Skywalk loop, we have the option to either hike downhill to the starting point via Skyloop Trail, or take the ski lift.
We will begin with an introduction and welcome exercise, and then we will relax and enjoy our time in nature. Bring water and some light snack with you, but make sure you pack light!

1. No pets for this walk.
2. Facility is available at the hotel, but nowhere else.
3. If photos of others are taken make sure that you acquired their permissions before posting them on this page.

5. Difficulty - This hike is at Level 4 (Difficult hikes for experienced, healthy hikers. Great risk of falling and tripping on rocks and tree roots. Hiking poles recommended.)

With the leaves changing colors to vibrant red, orange and gold it is the perfect excuse to spend some time outside.
Sometimes you just want to road trip to a place that’ll make you feel like the Lion King. Eagles Nest Trail takes you up and away where you can see trees for miles. It's absolutely breathtaking!
